Rehabilitation & Refurbishment Projects

At SMT Associates we understand that a rehabilitation or refurbishment project needs to be treated in a most sympathetic way in order to restore a building to its former glory. With that in mind we recognised the need to work closely with a team of skilled craftsmen who understand our ethos and can display a level of expertise that is second to none. The results are that we can maintain a hands on role in all of our refurbishment projects from inception through to completion. Please contact us for more information.

Our clients purchased this farmhouse with the intention of completing a full refurbishment. The property had been redundant for over 10 years and provided a number of challenging issues which needed to be investigated and analysed and fully understood before appropriate and necassary remedial works could be undertaken. In association with a local building company that specialises in conservation, we undertook a complete refurbishment which included replacing the roof slates, timber repairs, new floors and installing a brand new heating system. Further specialist works including the installation of a private water treatment works, lime plastering and the additions of a luxury conservatory and extension transformed this once derelict farmhouse into a magnificent family home.
